MYSORE
A good choice if: - It's your first time to India - You have a keen interest in yoga and want to meet likeminded people - You want to stay a month or more and immerse in practice. Tips: - Stay in a local home (get in contact with me if you need help arranging this) - Check out my blog on places to eat - Stay overnight in Bangalore near the airport before making the 4hr drive (Breeze Suites) - Join the local community groups on Facebook - Can highly recommend Prana Vashya and Ashtanga Saadhana for practice. |
TREKKING IN NEPAL
MARDI HIMAL TREK
A good choice if: - It's your first time trekking, you'd like diversity in landscape - You are looking for some time in nature on a quieter trail - You are ok with basic accomodation and food Tips: - Only a basic level of fitness required - Pick the time of year carefully we went in Sep 2019 and it was just perfect - Make sure you wear in your hiking boots before you go - Take earplugs, Kathmandu city is noisy! - You can buy equipment cheaply in Kathmandu |
BALI (INDONESIA)
A good choice if:
- You are travelling solo and a little nervous about travel - You are looking for a Yoga/Surf holiday and love the idea of being pampered at a spa. - You live in Australia, flights are cheap and it's close to home! - You don't mind being surrounded by other tourists Tips: - Bali has lots of great little spots to visit, some of my favourites are Ubud, Canggu and Nusa Lembongan. Choose your destination depending on what you want to experience. - Align yourself with a reliable local, I can connect you with some helpful locals who I've known for years. |
CROATIA (take me back..)
A good choice if:
- You have a little more cash to play with (it's relatively expensive for Aussies but reasonable for Europe) - You love natural beauty and history - You are a foodie and enjoy wine Tips: - Highly recommend getting a car and exploring the path less travelled - Don't miss the National Parks KRKA and Plitvice Lakes - Travel in the shoulder season when it's far less crowded - While we didn't visit the islands, we were told that this is a real highlight too! |
